The problem with the media today is that they by human interposition disarm truth by
- dressing up errors to look like truth
- appealing to popular opinion to make up truth
- covering up lies, deceit and cronyism
- ignoring truth
- covering up truth
- obfuscating - making it difficult to discover the truth
- presenting both sides of an argument as if both were equally valid.
The net effect is that a majority of Americans are truly ignorant of their ignorance. They don't know what they don't know because the net affect of the news is "to make you dumb".
